Genre: Contained Survival Thriller
Logline: When a scientific expedition discovers a hidden ecosystem in a remote rainforest valley, they become trapped on the vast web of an undiscovered species of spider, a hundred feet above the jungle floor, where the only way out is across.

No Way Down was also one of only two concepts that got an elusive “yes” vote this weekend (I upgraded it from a strong maybe). I also want to give a shoutout to the golden ticket winner this weekend. That entry comes from Mary Tay.

Genre: Romantasy, Comedy
Logline: A pretentious publisher wakes up trapped inside his wife’s trashy fantasy novel and must win her back before she falls for the hunky shapeshifting dragon prince who is everything she wishes he was.

Moving on to sad news. It’s time to discuss the VETOES. Now, when it comes to these vetoes, I’m doing them for a very specific reason. When these scripts are finished, it’ll be my job to pitch them to Hollywood. And if I don’t believe in the core concept, I’m not going to send you down a six month road of writing something that, when finished, there’s a 99% chance I won’t like, or that I don’t think has a chance in the market.
But here’s the good news. If you did get 20 votes, your script is probably still worth writing. It’s just not my personal thing. So, I hope nobody is taking this personally.
